Visual Tanakh

This is a visualization of which portions of the Tanakh (Hebrew bible) are read in traditional Ashkenazi Jewish services. Each box represents a chapter, sized according to its number of verses. Hovering over a spot on the diagram displays info about which chapter and verse it corresponds to and when it is read (click to lock this info on screen).

Regions colored yellow to magenta correspond to weekly Shabbat morning readings, regions colored indigo correspond to readings for holidays, festivals, or special Shabbats, and regions colored purple correspond to parts of the text used in prayers.

Data for readings (portions and dates) is from Hebcal. Data for prayers is mostly from my Siddur Hadash, and is therefore not as universal or complete as the former.
